Rompers & Ruffles owners, Taylor and Tabitha, met in early 2007 and bonded over their love for their pugs.
After each were married to their husbands, Daniel and Dean, their eyes quickly turned to all things baby! A few years later, Taylor and Daniel found out they were expecting a baby and asked Tabitha and Dean to be their son, Parker's, godparents. Not long after, Taylor found out she was expecting a baby girl and started looking for cute, affordable, personalized baby clothes and accessories. With that, the inspiration for Rompers & Ruffles was "born."
Taylor learned to sew at the age of 7 when her parents were desperate to channel her creativity into something more productive and wearable than puff painted t-shirts. She continued her love for sewing throughout high school and into college where she hand-sewed costumes for all of her sorority theme parties. Her friends always joked that one day she would dress each of their children and sure enough, they were right! When her son, Parker, was born, she struggled to find cute, slogan free, boy clothes that didn't cost a fortune so she learned to make them herself. With a little girl on the way, she expanded her designs into all things pink, polka dotted and ruffled thus the beginning of Rompers and Ruffles!

Tabitha learned how to knit and crochet when she was 4 years old. She started off making clothes for her baby and barbie dolls. Now she takes pride in creating fun and whimsical baby hats, booties and other adorable accessories. She also makes soft and precious baby blankts.

Parker was born at Carolina's Medical Center on March 21, 2009 weighing only 3 pounds 10 ounces. He was born 8 weeks premature due to Taylor developing preclampsia. The doctors and staff at The Levine Children's Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit were literally lifesavers and without them, we wouldn't have Parker.
After 4 long weeks in the NICU, Parker came home and is now a happy, healthy almost 2 year old!
We could never thank the doctors and staff of Levine Children's Hospital enough for how they cared for Parker but we can help make other family's NICU experience more bearable.
